YEONJUN may be a member of one of the biggest K-pop boy bands making music right now, but he’s more than just that one label. As announced Friday (Oct. 17), the TOMORROW X TOGETHER musician is gearing up to drop his first-ever solo album — and it’s coming out in just a few weeks.
Titled No Labels: Part 01, YEONJUN’s debut full-length is set to arrive on Nov. 7. A press release describes the rock-inspired set as the South Korean performer’s “quest to reveal his truest self” through an “unfiltered reflection of his identity — one that is uniquely his own and transcends any labels or definitions.”
The project will also be more “raw” and “stripped down” than TXT’s signature vivid, visuals-focused approach to music. “YEONJUN explores a soundscape that mirrors his personal musical sensibilities, showcasing his signature artistry in every aspect,” the release added.
The musician also revealed his album’s cover on Friday. The simple-yet-eye-catching artwork shows a shirtless YEONJUN striking a pose with his arms out in front of a white background, as if he’s mid-dance.
News of YEONJUN’s debut album comes amid TXT’s Act: Tomorrow Tour, which kicked off in August. The band concluded its American leg in early October, and members SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI will embark on a run of Japan dates in November.
The trek follows TXT’s fourth studio album, The Star Chapter: TOGETHER. The set debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, marking the quintet’s seventh top 10 entry on the chart.
