Both Patton Jones and Pete Fredenburg threw and ran for a score, and CJ Jones rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown and caught a TD pass as Westlake routed Midland Lee 49-6 Friday at Chaparral Stadium.
Playing their last nondistrict game, the Chaps (3-1) ran for 252 yards, allowed only 194 yards and led 42-0 at halftime.
Three other Westlake players reached the end zone during the rout: Nash Chapman, Braden Riddell and Chase Brodhead.
CJ Jones crossed the goal line on a 9-yard run to cap off the Chaps' game-opening drive.
Patton Jones had a 1-yard TD run a short time later, then threw a 16-yard scoring strike to Chapman as Westlake led 21-0 with less than seven minutes off the clock.
In the second quarter, Riddell (7 yards) and Brodhead (31 yards) ran for touchdowns and Fredenburg hit CJ Jones for an 18-yard TD pass.
Fredenburg's 14-yard scoring run midway through the fourth quarter put the Chaps ahead 49-0.
Patton Jones finished with 106 yards passing.
Westlake hosts Round Rock Thursday to start District 25-6A play.
