Where Penn State fell in US LBM Coaches Poll after loss to Oregon

After taking its first loss of the season, Penn State was ready to drop in the updated national rankings going into Week 6. Fortunately for the Nittany Lions, they were not the only team in the top-10 to suffer a loss in Week 5, so their fall was cushioned a little bit in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll. Penn State fell from No. 2 down to No. 6 after dropping a home game to Oregon in double overtime on Saturday night in Beaver Stadium.
Ohio State remains the No. 1 team this week with 58 first-place votes in its favor. Oregon, off the victory over Penn State, jumped up three spots to No. 2 behind Ohio State and received 6 first-place votes. Miami (No. 3), Ole Miss (No. 4), and Texas A&M (No. 5 ) all capitalized on Penn State's loss and losses by Georgia and LSU to climb the polls this week as well.
Georgia fell from No. 3 down to No. 10 after losing at home to Alabama. Despite an identical record and a head-to-head victory over Georgia in Athens, Alabama is still one spot behind the Bulldogs at No. 11.
In addition to Ohio State, Oregon and Penn State in the top 10 of this week's coaches poll, the Big Ten is also represented by No. 9 Indiana. Michigan (No. 20) and Illinois (No. 22) are the other Big Ten teams in this week's US LBM Coaches Poll. USC dropped out after losing on the road to Illinois.
