Vanderbilt football rankings, where the Commodores are ranked after blowout of Utah State

Diego Pavia led Vanderbilt football to a No. 17 ranking in the US LBM Coaches Poll after a 55-35 win over Utah State in the poll released Sept. 28.

The Commodores (5-0) have done something they hadn't previously in over a decade and a half. The last time they were 5-0 to start a season, and the last time they were ranked this high, was in 2008.

Vanderbilt heads to face Alabama (3-1) in Tuscaloosa on Oct. 4 (2:30 p.m. CT, ABC) just one day short of a year after the Commodores' pivotal upset in Nashville in 2024. College GameDay will be in Tuscaloosa for the occasion.
