Heading into Week 4 of the NFL season, there are many things that you could pick out as the biggest surprises thus far. Injuries to quarterbacks, underwhelming play of supposed studs, and more. But what do we think is the most surprising thing that has everyone talking? It may not be what you think. Or maybe it is!
The Indianapolis Colts are undefeated. Who would have thought? Certainly not me. Not only are they undefeated, but the Colts are quite literally clicking in all phases of the game. The offensive line has only allowed Daniel Jones to be sacked twice in three games. Daniel Jones himself is playing lights out. He is third in passing yards, second in yards per attempt, and first in QBR. The Colts have converted 75 first downs to opponents' 56.
Daniel Jones has also yet to throw an interception. Some have been waiting on the real Daniel Jones to show up and start turning the ball over a bit, but this time feels different. A new system and coaching staff have been just what Jones has needed to resurrect his career on the positive side.
Running back Jonathan Taylor already has 388 yards rushing with 3 touchdowns, and he seems to get stronger each week. The Colts will not go undefeated, and possibly not stay unbeaten for much longer. Still, this team has positioned itself to make the playoffs by winning its division and making a run in the NFL playoffs. For Colts fans, it is a refreshing sight to see.
