During No. 5 Texas A&M's 31-9 win over Mississippi State, senior running back Le'Veon Moss played 26 snaps while spending most of the second half on the sideline due to an undisclosed discomfort, which head coach Mike Elko cleared up for the most part during Monday's press conference. Ahead of this weekend's primetime showdown vs. Florida, Elko isn't worried that his star back won't be ready.
For added context, Moss had an ACL and MCL tear dating back to the Aggies' November road loss to South Carolina last season, which resulted in the senior returning to the field at full strength sooner than many of us anticipated. However, before nearly all five games this season, Moss has vomited during the first half of every contest, something Elko discussed on Monday:
"It is something we're working through with him. I'm not sure there's a ton of precautions or medicine for it. It's just something he's working through."
For many of us who deal with general daily stresses, ranging from interviews, presentations, or managing general anxiety, Moss's issue could be a variety of ailments, or just pre-game nerves that result in his stomach turning once the game begins.
This is good news, as Elko did not mention any injury issues for his star back. Therefore, until the first injury report is released on Wednesday, the assumption is that, outside of his stomach issues, Le'Veon Moss will be a full-go for this weekend's critical home matchup against Florida.
