Sacha Tavolieri understands that Real Madrid have opened the door to the sale of Vinícius Júnior (25).
Vinícius has been a key player for Los Blancos in recent seasons. Two years ago, he was the player who drove the La Liga side towards the UEFA Champions League title. He only narrowly missed out on winning the Ballon d’Or that year, pipped by Manchester City’s Rodri.
However, last season, he failed to reach the same heights. The arrival of Kylian Mbappé and the subsequent remodelling of Real Madrid’s forward line were certainly not inconsequential in the Brazilian’s dip in form.
Real Madrid value Vinícius at €250m
And at the start of this season, it is Mbappé who is undoubtedly the leader of the attack. Tavolieri understands that the development calls into question Vinícius’ future at the Bernabeu. The journalist reports that the forward is no longer deemed untransferable and Real Madrid are seriously considering selling him to Saudi Arabia, a long-term suitor, next summer.
However, it would be an expensive deal with Real Madrid holding out for at least €250m.
