Packers lose WR Jayden Reed to shoulder injury on negated TD early in Week 2

Green Bay Packers receiver Jayden Reed is questionable to return to Thursday night's Week 2 showdown with the Washington Commanders after injuring his right shoulder on the offense's opening drive.

Reed was injured going to the ground on a 39-yard touchdown catch that was negated by an Anthony Belton holding penalty. He appeared to land hard on his right shoulder, and Reed was in visible pain coming off the field.

The Packers say he is questionable to return. Reed is also dealing with a foot injury suffered during training camp, so the issues are piling up for the third-year receiver.

Reed caught three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions. He has led the Packers in receiving yards each of his first two NFL seasons.

After Thursday night, the Packers have a long layoff before facing the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Sept. 21.
