Jake Paul erupts on Gervonta Davis after Netflix fight cancelation: 'Actual walking human piece of garbage'

Don't expect Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis to get rebooked any time soon. In a scathing message Monday night, Paul went scorched earth on the WBA lightweight champion, trashing "Tank" as "an actual walking human piece of garbage" and stating that Paul "didn’t want to give this woman abuser a platform" following the cancelation of their expected Nov. 14 exhibition boxing match on Netflix.

Paul vs. Davis was scheduled to take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, however Paul's promotional company, MVP, announced Monday night that the fight has been scrapped in the wake of Davis' latest domestic violence allegations. Davis has been accused of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress stemming from an incident with his ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel that allegedly occurred at a strip club on Oct. 27.

Gervonta Davis is an actual walking human piece of garbage. Working with him is an absolute nightmare. The unprofessionalism, the bizarre requests, the showing up hours late to shoots. To the numerous arrests and related accusations and lawsuits. If you support this man you support the most vile sin a man can commit.

I didn’t want to give this woman abuser a platform to grow his fans and to grow his bank account. My company champions women. I’m so sorry to everyone involved. Mostly to the undercard fighters, to my team at MVP and to my team who worked so hard prepping for this fight. Sacrificing time with loved ones and kids just for this fool to lose his unintelligent mind again. It’s scary that devilish men like this can rise to the top of culture and sports, including in positions of power.

I hope you people moving forward look beyond his fake streetwear pieces “SWAG” and search for something deeper to be a fan of.

As for me it’s on to the next one as always. Anyone. Anytime. Any place.

Paul is now expected to book a Netflix boxing match against a new opponent to close out 2025.

Rossel claims that Davis attacked her in the back room of the club before dragging her through the back exit and assaulting her in the parking garage. Rossel said she was a victim of domestic violence on multiple occasions during her five-month relationship with Davis prior to the incident.

Davis has faced accusations of domestic violence at least four different times in the past. Most recently, the controversial boxer was charged with striking his ex-girlfriend on the back of the head and then slapping her during an alleged dispute on Father's Day, however the case was ultimately dropped after the woman declined to prosecute.
