Fantasy football waiver wire Week 4: 7 drop candidates to debate

We're off and running with the second week of waiver wire pickups in fantasy football as Week 4 looms. But you might be thinking about which players on your roster to keep or to drop as you make those decisions.
That's what this weekly column -- a keep 'em or drop 'em debate -- aims to help with. We're going to focus on who you should hang on to or who you should definitely cut in order to pick up one of the intriguing names available.
A reminder to check out our weekly waiver wire post with all the names you should look at picking up. Let's dive in with names to potentially drop:
QB Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals
Well, that was quick. You can always find more QB talent on the waiver wire in leagues where you start just one quarterback. Hard to trust him after Sunday's game.
VERDICT: Drop him
RB Jerome Ford, Cleveland Browns
It's the Quinshon Judkins Show in Cleveland, which means Ford is a passing down back. He got just four targets and zero rushes last week, soooo...
VERDICT: Drop him
RB Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns
On the other hand, we saw flashes of what the other Browns RB rookie could do earlier this year. Stash him in case of injury.
VERDICT: Keep him
WR Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts
He's a good receiver, but it feels like Daniel Jones is focused on Michael Pittman Jr. and Tyler Warren more.
VERDICT: Drop him
WR Calvin Ridley, Tennessee Titans
This is one of those cases where you invested enough draft capital that you can't just drop him right away. Bench him? Absolutely. But he's seen no fewer than six targets in a game thus far. The results might be there later in the season.
VERDICT: Keep him
WR Travis Hunter, Jacksonville Jaguars
Same deal here. You may have to wait out this situation and see if he plays more on offense.
VERDICT: Keep him
RB Kaleb Johnson, Pittsburgh Steelers
In case it wasn't clear last week, he's low on the Steelers' depth chart.
VERDICT: Drop him
