The Buckeyes quickly moved past their heartbreaking loss to Texas with a dominant 59-3 win over Kent State in Week 3. Then, on Saturday, they took down Illinois behind a record-breaking performance from Jeremiah Smith. Smith finished with career highs in catches (12), receiving yards (217) and touchdowns (four). His four receiving TDs tied the Ohio State single-game record, making him the fifth Buckeye to reach that mark.
