UAE promises to withdraw forces from Yemen after bombing by Saudi Arabia
The attack was aimed at what Riyadh called a shipment of weapons for separatists from the UAE
The United Arab Emirates has said it will withdraw its remaining forces in Yemen after Saudi Arabia bombed what it said was a shipment of weapons for separatists which had arrived from the UAE.
The Emirati defence ministry announced the decision on Tuesday afternoon, citing “recent developments and their potential repercussions on the safety and effectiveness of counter-terrorism operations”, without saying when the withdrawal might happen. Continue reading...
